Studied at Islamiya College Santapuram, earned a licentiate from the Islamic University of Madinah (1972), an M.A. in Islamic Studies from the University of Toronto, and pursued doctoral studies at McGill University's Institute of Islamic Studies. Senior Resident Scholar at the Islamic Institute of Toronto since 1996.
Translated Sayyid Qutb's Social Justice into Malayalam and authored numerous works on Islamic jurisprudence, ethics, and spirituality. Served on the Fiqh Council of North America and was named among "The 500 Most Influential Muslims in the World," known for advocating moderation and condemning extremism.
Canadian lawyer, academic, and human rights activist born in Valanchery, Kerala. Holds degrees from York University, the University of Ottawa, and Osgoode Hall Law School. Associate Professor of Law Emeritus at Valparaiso University; son of Sheikh Ahmad Kutty and brother of author S.K. Ali.
